LA EMIGRACIÓN OLVIDADA: LA DIÁSPORA ESPAÑOLA EN LA ACTUALIDAD
Abstract
This contribution analyzes a topic scarcely studied in recent studies of population: the Spanish external emigration from our country nowdays. Spain has been traditionally an emigrants’ country; the «diaspora» of almost a million and a half Spanish emigrants is an heiress of such recent past, and accounting almost number of alien inmigrants in Spain today. We study the evolution of the emigration by continents from 1890, the different provincial origins and the destinations of the Spanish external emigration today. The American continent and the European Union are the two main areas that concentrate most of our external migratory flows.Downloads
