Abstract

Due ro rhe inseparable nature of language and culture and the cornplexiries of interculrural comunication the foreign language classroorn has become the best place to help students develop cultural understanding and intercultural skills. Once foreign language reachers have accepted responsibiliy for preparing today's students for tomorrow's complex world, they need to increase their understanding of hwo related questions: firstly, what training is necessary for the process of learning abour a culture; secondly, how to reach culture by gradually building up skills. This article discusses the need for teachers to take into account both the process itself and rhe development of a meaningful culrural curriculurn.
