JUAN MONTALVO: EL ENSAYO DE INIMITABLE IMITACIÓN
Abstract
Entre los grandes humanistas del S.XIX americano se erige Juan Montalvo (1832-1889), en cuyo espíritu se acrisolaron con especial magnetismo los ideales ilustrados con la tormenta y la furia románticas. En un lugar de los Andes, al pie de un volcán, nace Juan Montalvo con el objetivo de salir de Ambato para conquistar el mundo con su pluma. Distintos han sido los estudiosos que se han acercado a investigar en su agitada vida los orígenes de una obra tan singular y proteica, llegando siempre a la común conclusión de la excelsitud y grandeza de este pensador y literato ecuatoriano.Downloads
