El álef, el álif y Borges
Abstract
En El Aleph, Borges disemina una rima de premisas. A pesar de que con alguna de ellas procura la distracción del lector, la conclusión raya en lo dado o, peor, en el truismo: sólo existe un aleph. Todo está en todo, la roca lunar en el pez, el pez en el ombligo del mono, el ombligo del mono en la piel del tambor, la piel del tambor en la polvareda estelar que expele la cola del cometa. Pero sólo hay un aleph. El aleph contiene todo pero nada contiene al aleph: nada comparte su virtud. Nada es el aleph, pero él lo es todo, ya que ninguna forma se sustrae a su absorción.
