Jugando con la otredad: La sombra del caminante de Ena Lucía Portela
Abstract
En este artículo se analiza cómo el personaje de Lorenzo/Gabriela de la novela La sombra del caminante, de la cubana Ena Lucía Portela dibuja una identidad y un espacio nuevo. Lorenzo y Gabriela son dos individuos que ocupan, en tiempos diferentes, el mismo cuerpo. Se muestra cómo Portela, a través de ellos, nos hace entrar en La Habana decadente de los años noventa, en donde el complejo juego de identidades, que se confunden constantemente, sirve para borrar las dicotomías tradicionales (hombre/mujer, blanco/negro, etc.), para proponer figuras y sexualidades diferentes, y para criticar las líneas fundamentales de la Revolución Cubana.Downloads
