Abstract

This work tries to offers an overview about the oil production during the period of Roman rule in the region of Antequera (north of Malaga province), especially in territory controlled by its major cities: Antikaria and Singilia Barba. The basis of this work is the study of archaeological remains that shows oil production. Mainly, the elements of the press room are: Lapidis pedicinorum, areae; counterweights mechanisms and decantingsystems: labra and dolia.
