Abstract

An haematological study was carried out on 228 sheep in extended farming conditions, and a control group of 12 animals stabled atthe Faculty of Vet. of León, all of which were from trashumant flocks. The following parameters were mesured: haematocrit, erytrocytes, haemoglobin, leucocytes and leucocytic formula, total proteins, albumins, globulins (α, ß & g) and bilirrubin (total and direct). We have found as remarkable values an increase of erytrocytes and leucocytes during the estrous periodo
