STRUCTURAL, IMMUNOCYTOCHEMICAL AND ULTRASTRUCTURAL STUDY OF PRL CELLS OF LAMB (<i>OVIS ARIES</i> L.)
Abstract
Lamb adenohypophyseal Pars distalis (PD) was immunohistochemically studied with antiserum for human PRL hormone by use of the superimposition technique on adjacent sections by light and electrón microscopy. PRL cells are the most abundant (60-70%) and they are not observed in the rostro-caudo-dorsal fringe. They have a size of 15.25 µm in male and 16,1 µm in femule. Their secretion granules are large (310 nm), spherical and electrodense.Downloads
