EPIDEMIOLOGY OF THE COMPLEX TAENIA SAGINATA AND CISTICERCUS BOVIS IN THE PROVINCE OF CIEGO DE ÁVILA
Abstract
An epidemiologic study was developed in cases of Taenia saginata and the Cisticercus bovis that occured during the years 1981 to 1988 in Ciego de Ávila, Cuba In a period of eight years were notified three hundred (300) cases of Taenia and two hundred twenty five patients were investigated. The notificacion of teniasis decreased in the period between 1985 and 1988 in relation to 1981-1988, present in students and housewifes.
