Focus and Scope

Anales de Psicologia / Annals of Psychology is a multidisciplinary journal of the various thematic areas of scientific psychology. It publishes original research articles and theoretical review in any of its basic, applied and methodological areas included within psychology.

Publishing, financing, marketing and distribution corresponds Editum: Editions of the University of Murcia (Spain). The organizational guidelines and editorial policies come from the Editorial Team (elected for four years by the Areas and / or Departments of Psychology at the University of Murcia) and the Editorial Board, composed of scholars and experts from different universities and institutions national and international. It is published in Internet publishing (web) (ISSN: 1695-2294) since 2000 (print edition -ISSN: 0212-9728- since 1984 to 2023). Available online full text in pdf from the vol. 1 1984.

Anales de Psicologia / Annals of Psychology maintains a system of exchange with other journals and publications of psychology in the world. Through an free exchange agreement with their respective publishers or entities responsible for editing, these journals and publications are received at the University of Murcia (Biblioteca "Luis Vives", near the Faculty of Psychology) and in return, our journal is sent to libraries and educational and research institutions such centers responsible for editing.

Peer Review Process

The review has two phases: the first format and style (APA, expressions, quotations, references, etc.), which is done by the Editors of the journal and once this is pasaa scientific review.

The system of peer review of original articles is external, double-blind (the author does not know the reviewers and vice versa is an anonymous review by at least two experts on the subject of Article Reviewers are selected from the best specialists, national. or foreigners. in case of original empirical articles also will be reviewed by an expert methodologist. The review process can take up to six months (when several rounds of revision).

Publication Frequency

It is a quarterly journal (from 2011): Each annual volume is published in three issues, in January (january-april), May (may-september) and October (october-december), both in print and electronic publishing. Each issue has its own table of contents.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open its contents in full text and access, under the principle that allow free access to the results of research affects a greater exchange of knowledge globally.

Journal History

Created in 1984. Peer review journal of scientific Psychology. Included in Journal Citation Reports (JCR, Clarivate Analytics, early Thomson Reuters) and Scimago Journal Rank (SJR, Scopus - Elsevier), and the major data bases (WoS, Scopus, PsycInfo, Ebsco, ProQuest, Scielo, etc.). Manuscripts submitted in English or Spanish but published only in English.
