Abstract

This article analyses the personality of the Protestant priest, Horace Reynolds, the protagonist of Rosalía. The author argües that itprecisely because of Horacio's noble character that Galdós decides to discard the novel, later to rewrite the story in changing, however, Horacio, a Protestant, for Daniel Morton, a Jew.
