Abstract

El Alba, published in London between 1854 and 1862 by Thomas Parker and different evangelical societies, certainly was the most spreaded Protestant review in Spain and Latin America during the second third of the XIX th century. Moreover, it was one of the first theree J. Calderon's evangelic periódical reviews in Spain. The other two. Catolicismo Neto and El Examen Libre, were published in London between 1849 and 1854. El Alba exerted considerable influence on the Protestant press appeared later on in Spain and Latin America.
