Abstract

Study about the Spanish conceptions of European Union after de second world war, when the Community was in train of being made. There were three conceptions inside of Spain: the strictly Europeist, expressed by the philosophe Ortega y Gasset, the Fascist Giménez Caballero’s one and the traditional Christian one, manifested by the Foreign Office Spanish minister Alberto Martín Artajo, who however presented the Strasburg project as a Socialist one, in spite of Audenauer, De Gaulle and De Gasperi’s real Christian thought. Either Martín Artajo ignored this nature of the Europeism or tried to occult the true cause of the margination of Spain: its dictatorial nature.
