Abstract

The year 1951 was remarked by the return of the ambassadors to Madrid, mainly, the high missions from the United States, the United Kingdom and France. Those formal links with the Western Big Three are going to contribute the opening of talks between Spain and the United States in view of reaching three military and economical agreements, out of NATO, linked, however, with the Aliance (1953). From now on, the impact of the States on Spain has been growing and continous. In any way, the Cold War was the general background in the course of this political frame. History will be implacable about this influence.
