Abstract

.As regards the contemporary Spanish migrations to the North of Africa, only the most relevant waves addressed to Argeria and Marocco has been studied till now. However, the rest of the migrations to other African countries are practically unknown. The present study touches upon the case of Lybia, in general, and its XIXth c.-Spanish colony, in particular. The authoress aims at commenting on and providing us with an interesting documentation, till now unpublished, related to some of the women of such collectivity. It is a fact that, unlike the case of the cultured Western European woman, the accessibility of these African women to a formative education was practically non-existent.
