Abstract

This study undertakes an investigation, analysis and evaluation of academic achievement of pupils from minority cultures in the Murcia region during the academic years 1997-1998 and 1998-1999. Specifically, academic results of North African and gypsy children are compared to those from the majority culture to assess whether their learning rate and results obtained during schooling indicate a successful teaching-learning process or suggest school failure.
