Abstract

The Government of the Second Republic assigned a grant to Israelite Schools of Tangier and Ceuta, while it reftised such a grant to the Catholic Students Association. The Papal Nuncio Tedeschini presented two official notes of protest before the Prime Minister, in 1933 and in 1935 because he considered that this decision was transgressing the Republican Constitution of 1931. But de Guvernment did not answer in any way to mentioned diplomatic notes. For that reason, the catholic Newspaper «El Debate» blamed hardly the Republican Gouvernment.
