Abstract

The purpose of this article is to identify the mechanisms of interlocution between the Muslim communities and the State. The «Acuerdo de Cooperación del Estado Español con la Comisión Islámica de España de 1992» (Agreement of Cooperation of the Spanish State with the Islamic Commission of Spain of 1992) is the legislative frame of reference. The Muslim communities representatives have maintained demands derived of the practice from their religion and its cultural identity. Today, the scene has changed from the fi rst communities to a present reality in which the immigration coming from countries of Muslim majority is very important.
