Research datasets

Anales de Derecho, in its commitment to Open Science, advocates for the deposit of research datasets, aligning with policies, mandates, and initiatives that highlight the value of research data and the importance of sharing and reusing them. Any institutional effort in this regard is considered significant.

We recommend depositing the data obtained from research conducted for the preparation of an article in reputable repositories, whether specific to the discipline or generalist. In any case, the chosen repository must comply with the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable), ensuring unrestricted access and interoperability, preferably in open access.

There are various repositories designed to store and disseminate specific types of data, such as survey results, observations, interviews, simulations, automatically collected data, samples, models, and more. Our journal has a dedicated section within the institutional repository of the University of Murcia (DIGITUM), serving as an infrastructure for depositing and publicly sharing research data. Authors of articles must provide their datasets so that the editorial committee can deposit them before publication. There are no restrictions on depositing these files in other repositories.

The University of Murcia Library has created a help page to assist researchers in preparing and publishing datasets. This guide should be followed when preparing datasets for submission and evaluation, alongside the original manuscript.
