Reflections on Social Security in the international sphere:
Case C-549/2022, “Raad van bestuur van de Soziale Verzekeringsbank”
Abstract
The Court of Justice of the European Union analyses the application of the Dutch Law “Wwsz”, which applies the so-called "country of residence principle" in the export of Social Security benefits, following a total of three preliminary rulings. After analysing this law and the CJEU ruling, reflections are offered on the applicability of a similar law in Spain, with special attention to the Social Security Agreement between Spain and the Kingdom of Morocco.
