Abstract
The present work addresses the legal treatment of forced marriage in Spain, focusing on the international legal obligations related to this issue. It examines the approach to forced marriage in Spain, including its legal and criminal treatment, civil and family law measures to prevent and protect victims, as well as the recognition of asylum rights for victims of forced marriage or their residential regularisation. The document provides a detailed analysis of the legal implications and measures taken to address this issue, offering a comprehensive overview of the situation in Spain regarding forced marriage. Finally, some legislative proposals are put forward to address the issue of forced marriages more comprehensively.
