Statistical analysis of the intentional homicides and murders judged by the Provincial Court of Murcia from 2007 to 2017

Abstract

In the present work statistically analyzed the sentences of intencional homicides and murders judged by the Provincial Court of Murcia from 2007 to 2017. The study allows us to know exactly, for the period where the facts judged took place (1998-2017), the number of murders and intentional homicides, their degree of completion, the municipality where the events happened, the average time of resolution of a case for each year and for the entire period, the author's sex, the victim´s sex, the author's nationality, the author's age, the prison sentences imposed, the existence or inexistence of prior relationship between author and victim, the mobile of crimes, the weapons used and the most frequent months, days, hours and places of commission.
