Tratamiento de las políticas de salud en la Ley Orgánica de Igualdad
Abstract
During the last decades, women’s lives have experienced deep chan- ges that should be dealt with from different perspectives. These changes have given way to situations of inequality between men and women, and thus both share the consequences of these changes in terms of health and quality of life.
This justifies the fact that, when talking about integration, we take into account the health field as a way of guaranteeing an authentic equality between women and men to get a social and economic success.
The following article analyzes the efforts that have been made to elaborate the organic law on equality and other laws so that everything related to health policies tries to avoid unequal situations between men and women. In the study, a special emphasis is made on the role of the Autonomous Communities due to the fact that they have taken on some particular competences in terms of health.
