Abstract

Agriculture is essential to produce corn and achieve household food security (HFS), but need to improve their productivity. Prototype Agroecológico Intervention (PAI) is exposed to improve the production and consumption of goods related to rainfed maize. Management of maize was evaluated and PIA was designed; Index Radicals Technology Appropriation (IRTA) and Grade Progressive Technologies Employment (GPTE) was calculated. Food consumption of each family member requires 500 kg / year of corn. The PAI was tested in San Nicolas de los Ranchos (SNR) and Cohetzala-Puebla-Mexico and found that 82 and 40% of producers and SNR Cohetzala not have HFS and no direct relationship between IRTA and yields, but with GPTE. It was found that 29% and 30% are successful producers in Cohetzala and SNR giving an articulated to agro management paradigm.
