Abstract

This paper describes how psychopedagogical training related to ICT is carried out in 10 european universities. One of the solutions is the creation of training centres whose missions, strategies, activities and development are analized reaching the conclusion that they are strongly related to the institutional context in which they are embedded. This centers tend to privilege the approach to work in individual and collective projects responding to specific demands rather than the more traditional top down activities. However, in order to reach a broader audience other types of activities are also organized. The preferred theoretical approach seems to be socioconstructivist, since it facilitates transference of new knowledge to everyday teaching context. Newly engaged teachers are a special public of these centers, to which they address more formal training programs growingly recognized by their institutions. New challenges faced by these centers are discussed.
