Abstract

Why evaluative practices are seldom modified in universities? This paper tries to synthesize the panorama of evaluation of learning practices in higher education from a conceptual as well as descriptive perspective. It also analyses the cognitive gain the student derives from the application of these practices in class. As a result of this analysis, some methodological modifications of the evaluation activities are proposed, that point towards an improvement of university evaluative proposals.
