Abstract

The Taibilla Castle dominated an essential route in the direction of the kingdom of Granada. The historical evolution of Taibilla strongly influenced its Castle. After the Castilian conquest a decline process started in Taibilla until the conquest of southern lands by the Catholic Kings permitted an urban development since Taibilla wasn’t a border area any more. This also caused the abandon of the castle. This article analyzes the archaeological remains which have survived, such as a fortified house, a path, a wall and a tower.
