Abstract

The forest guard and vigilance remained gathered in the medieval Castilian legislation from simultaneous form to the Christian conquest of the villas and cities, formed of privileged jurisdictions that were gathering a fiscal and social profitable situation for his settlers. The control of the pastures for the cattle cabins or the forest exploitation of the natural resources of the highland environments they were someone of the processes that generated jurisdictional and economic conflicts, especially from the XIIIth century, once consolidated and removed the border opposite to the Muslims. The Castilian councils entrusted this task certain gentlemen -but not proceeding from the social pertaining to nobility group- that they were named anually.
