Mujeres indígenas patriarcado y colonialismo: un desafío a la segregación comprensiva de las formas de dominio

In this article I argue that indigenous women have a multifaceted experience of domination that challenges the monistic understanding of social structure through patriarchy, ethnic domination or social class. Indigenous women question an oppressive and interconnected world system. This same reality allows them to construct collective subjects non solely centred in ethnic, gendered and class factors, but as creators of new liberating ways of life that go beyond unilateral perspectives in emancipatory processes. Thus, indigenous women’s voices are relevant as they do not question power from the centre but from the margins, and these articulations provide fundamental contributions to alternative understandings of the exercise of power and its challenges.Downloads
