Abstract

This paper aims to account for the changes, the new demands, the new challenges and contradictions that Brazilian feminism has faced in the last thirty years as a social movement. It assumes that the Brazilian feminist movement is not an isolated, homogeneous phenomenon divorced from the world context; it thus investigates links and relationships with Latin American feminism and with the new dynamics that are today present in broader supranational contexts. The main focus of this work is to make a reflection on the struggles, the new dynamics and challenges of this movement in Brazil.
