El género: su concepción y estudio a partir de un diálogo intergeneracional

Abstract

This work aims to reflect the diversity of perspectives within gender studies by means of an intergenerational dialogue, considering that such an exchange can be extremely fruitful. Both authors (a mother and her daughter) have developed their learning and professional activity in the feminist field of gender studies. According to their experience, the authors carry the debate through the topics they consider key in the current theoretical context, i.e., the category of woman, the reflection on domestic work, the development of gender studies, the theorizing on masculinities, the intersectionality as a methodological tool, the body as an object of theoretical thinking, and the institutionalization process of the field of gender studies.
