La presión urbanística en las comarcas interiores alicantinas
Abstract
In recent years, property developers in the Alicante province of Spain have shifted their attention away from the coast to inland areas, particularly to smaller towns in the districts of l’Alcoià, la Foia de Castalla and el Comtat. Various development projects are planned for these areas, with the aim of creating more than 11,000 family homes. These projects will involve a series of negative environmental, social and economic impacts for the towns. Nevertheless, as a result of the crisis affecting the construction sector since the end of 2007, and following opposition from the local populations, many of these projects have since been halted.Downloads
