Abstract

The nature and the environment became inserted in European and Spanish politics of territorial planning according to a series of paradigms responding to particular moments of the processes of growth and development. This progressive insertion did not led to the introduction of the environment into the basic nucleus of the political and economic system, but maintained it at the periphery of the latter, bringing only «some environmental vernish».
