Abstract

The global evolution of the traffic of goods of the main seaports of Spain during the last years is analyzed. He is proven the general increment of the see transport, in spite of the strong competition in other ways of transport. Equally it is noticed that the behavior of the seaports has been very different. A new seaport hierarchy has been created. In that sense, he fits to affirm that, for the time being, an accented centralization doesn’t exist. No seaport stands out with clarity on the other ones they have Also been remarkable the changes registered in the specialization of the seatraffic of goods. Likewise they have registered strong changes in the global operation of the seaport system.
