CARACTERÍSTICAS HIDRO-GEOMORFOLÓGICAS DE LA CUENCA DEL ARROYO PESCADO CASTIGADO, BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA
Abstract
The Pescado Castigado stream basin is located in the Southeast of Buenos Aires province, Argentina. The peculiarity of this plain basin is basically its little define morphology that leads to a versatile and dynamic drainage. This affect the principal economic activity: agriculture and cattle throw the quantity of water reservoir, overflowed surface, soil hydrology erosion, etc. The study area presents four hydrological units. The main characteristic of the first unit is the laminate drainage. The second presents an anarchical system of dissipation or overflowed, the third is a lineal and zonal mixed system and the forth is a unit with no floods, that presents areas of overflowed so, problems of saline soils arise.
