Abstract

The population mobility among the different parts of a country, is not a negative factor in itself. This can even be a signal of inner dynamism. However, it can be a problem when the territorial tendencies imply emptiness in certain areas, in favour of others. Although it is not the case of Canada, it is observed that during the last three decades the net inner migratory balance, gains in some provinces and losses in others, come to over a million people. There are three provinces favoured by this process. British Columbia, Ontario and Alberta. The others show losses. This result is likely to be understood as a process of different sign which breaks the traditional tendendy, that is, San Lorenzo, Ontario and Quebec concentrated most of the population. Facing the future, this is an important point to which much attention should be dedicated in order to solve the problems it creates.
