The grow of the Spanish urban population and the complexify of the organization pattem of the urban network. An interpretation of the changes happened in the last decades. A noticeable urbanising process takes place in Spain along the current century. Only in the last fifteen years the growth of towns seems to follow a pattern different from the simple population accumulation. Its territorial effects are quite irregular. As a consequences there have been noticeable variations in the regional urban network, with different organisation territorial patterns. The capital of province outstand because of their key role, together with other significant urban areas, in which an important number of towns of different size concentrate.
