Abstract

Tufa build-ups of San Pedro Bridge in river Tajo basin (Guadalajara) are one of the most representative example in their genus along Iberian Peninsula. A geosystemic approach is employed in order to establish karstic behaviour and definition of a paleoenvironmental evolution. In addition, we have defined three important periods of tufa construction, two of them in Pleistocene, and the other, in Holocene. In the past, having different environments buildups have been incised and crioclastic formations have been deposited.
