Abstract
During the last years the use of GIS technology has increased substantialy into the environmental sciences. This paper summarizes the main environmental application areas, specially the integration of GIS and specific models developed in these areas: models of soil-plant-atmosphere interactions, surface-subsurface flow modeling, environmental assessment systems (risks of contamination, erosion, forest degradation, ...), etc.Downloads
