CARACTERIZACIÓN CLIMÁTICA DE LA CUENCA DEL ARROYO CLAROMECÓ, ARGENTINA
Abstract
This paper describe the climate of the Claromecó creek basin, located in the Southeast of the Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. The climate of this area is moderate, with mean annual temperature varying between 13,5ºC to 14,5ºC, and increasing toward the coast. The highest maximum mean temperature 24,1ºC occurs in January and the lowest (12,6ºC) in July. The minimum mean temperature varies between 1,1ºC y 3,1ºC in July. Annual mean rainfall has increased more 100 mm since the 80's. The maximum rainfalls occurs during the spring and the autumn, in October and March. The relative humidity in this area varies between 61 to 78%, with maximun occurring occurs during autumn and winter, and minimum during the summer. The mean annual atmospheric pressure varies between 986,3 y 1005 HPa. Prevailing winds are from the North and Northwest during the four seasons. The mean annual speed is 11,5 km/h. These weather conditions confirm the suitability of this area for farming activities.Downloads
