APROXIMACIÓN A LAS CARACTERÍSTICAS CLIMÁTICAS EN EL ÁREA DE INFLUENCIA DEL CAMPO EXPERIMENTAL DE El ARDAL (MURCIA). LA REPRESENTATIVIDAD DE LAS SERIES CLIMATICAS DISPONIBLES
Abstract
The use of climatic series of a point to predict climatic characteristics of nearby areas of different topography and aspect is questioned. This study characterizes the climate of the El Ardal Experimental Field (SE Spain) using the available climatic series from both the experimental field climatic station and the nearby La Cienla reservoir. The comparison between both series, for coincidental time periods, shows that raw data from one climatic station are not representative of the other one. However, a regression curve between both sets of data let to make accurate predictions of El Ardal climatic parameters from La Cierva data. Using this relation, El Ardal series is calculated from the longer series of La Cierva for the period 1961-1990. Finally, they are approached the general climatic charactersitics of El Ardal using the average values of temperature and rainfall obtained from the reconstructed 196 1 - 1990 period.Downloads
