Abstract

This piece of work is a reflection on the complex problems rural areas have to face nowadays as a result of emigration, people moving away from the land, the invasion of the countryside by growing towns and the deterioration in the environment. In an attempt to tackle these problems, measures are taken and policies are made which only rarely situate the peasant in the foreground. Decisions are being taken which are leading the countryside into a state of confusion the consequences of which are irremediable.
