CLIMATOLOGICAL DESCRIPTION OF THE HIGHER MUNDO RIVER, ALBACETE PROVINCE
Abstract
The area, which is drained by the river Mundo, lies on the north-western extreme of the Segura basin, from its source to the Talave reservoir, al1 its belongs to Albacete province and is one of the wettest places in the south-east basin. The mean temperature is 13,7" C and the annual mean precipitation is nearly 600 mm. Due to its extension and the disposition and importance of its relieves, the basin is subdivided into three sectors with their own climatic features, each one being approximately a third part of its surface. The analysis of precipitations, temperatures, thermo-pluviometric rates, periods of freeze, temperature rates, the application of indexes on continentallity, humidity and the result of the hydric balances show how both extremes, W and E, are in contrast, whereas the middle course remains as an intermediate sector where the features of the source's area are going to change gradually into the features of the immediate areas of the river's mouth.Downloads
