Abstract
From the perspective of the Cultural Biogeography, this article does an approach to the knowledge of Atlantic forest analysing the historic process of territory building. In this way tries to made stand out that after a first stage when the beginning of the appertaining activity becomes the start of a decisive process of change of the forest, later the main necessities and requests of the society have been the ones that more directly have conditioned the evolution of vegetal masses. By the way, the article thinks it over the function that actual society gives to countryside and tries to find some keys to glimpse the possible future of forests.Downloads
