POPULATION AGEING IN THE MURCIA REGION

Abstract

Demographic interest in the elderly section of the of the population is increasing because of the impact that this rapidly growing group has on society. In this piece of work we study demographic aspects of the phenomenon using different indices allows us to evaluate the intensity of the process, which is only just beginning in Murcia, as well as its uneven distribution throughout the region.
