Abstract

Alcantarilla town has tradicionally been one of the industrial-growth points of Murcia. From the industrial process originated towards the end of the 19th century, with the canning industry, and after the crisis of the 80's, has moved to a new concept of industrial space and an expansion of industrial branches due to the proximity to Murcia and its metropolitan area.
