EROSIÓN EN CAUCES AFECTADOS POR OBRAS DE CORRECCIÓN HIDROLÓGICA (CUENCA DEL RÍO QUÍPAR, MURCIA)
Abstract
This paper studies the erosive consequences in the river channels, downstream the sediment retention dikes, as a consequence of the slope modification that these provoke. The volume of erosive sediments in the river channels as consequence of this process is evaluated and the importance of the decreasing useful life in the dikes is tried to be determinated. The length of the sections inserted by erosion, downstream the sediment retention dikes studied, has a range between 50-150 m from the dikes foot. The sediments evacuated in this sections have been calculated giving a result between 10-50% of the accumulated deposits in the dikes situated downstream, reaching in some cases the 50%.Downloads
