Abstract

The 881,1 square kilometres of the Township of Murcia covers a total of 52 collective units of population (dependent parishes or "pedanías"), apart from the city itself. The behaviour of population over the last decade reflects their differing dynamism and shows a moderate tendenq for the population to concentrate within thecity.
