ACTIVIDAD AGRARIA EN LAS COMARCAS DEL SUR DE ALICANTE Y COMPETENCIA CON OTROS SECTORES POR LOS USOS DEL AGUA Y DEL SUELO
Abstract
The main current problems are exposed, like irrigation water scarcity, and low product’s prices, are presented based on a characterization of agricultural land in the southern region of Alicante (Spain). Emphasis is given to farmer’s income as a function of different product’s prices and their trend in the last two years. The progression of land devoted to other uses: industrial, residential and recreational is estimated and other data related to the concurrence for water and land uses between the agricultural and other sectors are given.Downloads
