In this dynamic process important changes have taken place in the composition of the immigrant population, appearing new currents and flows with characteristics and differentiated motivations. In addition, the distribution of these new flows has not been homogeneous in the territory, therefore to measure the influence of the foreigners there has been analyzed in a joint way the place of birth of the resident population in the municipalities and the proportion of immigrant population.
